Dr. Jerrad Swanson DC, FMT, DN1 treats quite a few patients from the Lincoln area who are hurt while working. According to the National Safety Council, the most common kind of work injury is musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), which include injuries to the muscles, nerves, tendons, ligaments and joints. MSDs account for more than one third of all workplace injuries.
The most frequent type of MSD is a strain, which is trauma to a muscle or tendon. Strains can be caused by lifting, pushing or pulling too much weight, or by engaging in repetitive movements. Other typical MSDs involve carpal tunnel syndrome, tendinitis and back discomfort.
These injuries can be avoided by using appropriate lifting techniques, taking several breaks and using ergonomic devices. Employers can also help prevent injuries by providing their employees educational sources on putting a stop to them.
Back issues and injuries are a ordinary issue that Dr. Jerrad Swanson DC, FMT, DN1 sees in our #Ciyt# office and we also work with people who have shoulder or neck issues.
If you have had a work injury or accident and live in the Lincoln community, give Dr. Jerrad Swanson DC, FMT, DN1 a call and make an appointment today. We will help you to create a treatment plan that will help you heal and do our best to have you back on the job as quick as possible!
